Energy and power engineering is a branch of engineering that specializes in the study of energy conversion and power transmission systems, including the basic theories of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and material mechanics. The graduation thesis of energy and power engineering usually includes two main aspects: first, the theoretical research of energy conversion and power transmission system, and second, the practical application research of specific engineering project. This paper mainly introduces the common research directions of graduation thesis of energy and power engineering, including energy conversion and utilization, power transmission, energy system, combustion and internal combustion engine, automobile engineering, diesel engine, gas turbine, wind power generation, solar energy utilization and so on. Finally, this paper quotes two thesis titles from the graduation thesis of energy and power engineering for reference.
